Years of Service in District 6

11 Years

"What makes me feel valued and want to stay is they genuinely value everyone's opinions. Whether it's feedback on new initiatives, input on school decisions, or ideas for improving our practices, I feel heard and respected. Knowing that my voice matters, and that leadership actually listens. They create a culture where I want to continue contributing and growing as a staff member."

When you think about your experience in our district, what makes you feel proud to work here?

"Both my husband and I work for District 6. All four of my children attended Maplewood, Franklin, and Northridge, and I've watched this district open doors for each of them in different ways. My oldest son now works in the IT department at District 6. My daughter is pursuing Interior Design at RMCAD with most of her tuition covered through scholarships and dual enrollment credits she earned in high school. My other son is training in Cybersecurity through CTE, and my youngest is thriving in the JROTC program. Seeing the district invest in my children's futures, and now being par tof that investment for other families, makes me proud to be here every day."

What keeps you feeling connected to and supported by our school community?

"Franklin is a family-first community, and that's what keeps me feeling connected and supported. We genuinely look out for each other by supporting one another through daily challenges and celebrating successes together. That sense of care extends beyond just the staff to our students and their families. Knowing I'm part of a team that shows up for each other makes all the difference."

What's a fun fact about your job?

"I get to build relationships with everyone who walks through my door. Students, staff, parents, and visitors all become part of my school family! I love the variety of wearing so many hats and the thrill of problem-solving on the fly. Best of all, I have a front-row seat to watch students and staff celebrate their wins, big and small!"

What is one experience with a student or staff member that left a lasting, positive impact on you?

"When I was the registrar at Franklin, I supported a mother who was new to the Greeley area and didn't even know where her student's boundary school was. I was able to help her navigate the enrollment process, and she chose Franklin for both of her children. Years later, when her youngest graduated 8th grade, she came back to remind me of the help and welcoming environment I had provided early on. She thanked me for making such a difficult transition easier for her family. That moment showed me the lasting impact of simply being kind and supportive when families need it most, and it's why I love being part of this community."
