Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year

Dear District 6 Families:

All of us at Greeley-Evans School District 6 are excited to welcome you and your students to the 2025-2026 school year! We are looking forward to seeing our familiar students after a long break and welcoming all our new students to District 6.

Better Together is the theme we have adopted for this school year. We know that when we work together as a system - in partnership with our students, families and the community -  we can do amazing things for the children of our community. Our goal is to provide the best educational experience for every student, every day. And you can help make this goal a reality.

We want you to be involved in your children’s education. If your child needs additional support to be successful, we want to know what we can do to help. If something is working well for your child, we want you to communicate that to the school. If something is not working well for your child, we want you to communicate that as well! When our schools invite you to a special program or event, we want you to feel welcome and excited to attend. We are all in this together, and it takes ALL of us to ensure every child has what they need to be successful.

This year, we are putting a more intense focus on elementary literacy. Teachers, administrators and support staff will be working hard to ensure every student can read and write on grade level, so they can access information in other subject areas. We know this is key to every child’s success and we will work hard this year to help our children learn and grow in reading and writing.

Student attendance at school is also essential for your child’s success. We know sometimes illness or other circumstances prevent children from attending school. But we also know that students can’t learn if they aren’t in school. Please help us by ensuring that you have good home routines that help you get your students to school on time every day and ready to learn.

Thank you for all you do to support your students and our staff throughout the school year. We are grateful to serve you and your children, and are looking forward to a productive and fun school year! We truly are Better Together!

Kind regards,

Dr. Deirdre Pilch, Superintendent
Greeley-Evans School District 6
