Boundary Adjustments

  • Greeley-Evans School District 6 is working with Shannon Bingham of Western Demographics to complete a boundary study for elementary and middle schools. The purpose of the boundary study is to:

    • Create a homeschool boundary for the new Tointon Academy of Pre-Engineering.

    • Create a homeschool boundary for the new Madison PK-8 school.

    • Relieve schools that are over capacity and remove portable classrooms.

    • Determine where to build additions onto existing buildings that are over capacity.

Western Demographics worked with the District 6 Leadership team during the month of March to present the options for adjusting school boundaries to the staff and families of each elementary, middle and K-8 school that would be impacted by the boundary changes. The virtual community meetings were conducted in both English and Spanish, and participants were asked to fill out a survey at the end to provide feedback.

All families impacted by the boundary changes will receive direct communication and will be given the option to keep their student or students in their current school, or move to the school in their new boundary.

A recommendation on boundary adjustments will be presented to the Board of Education. Boundary adjustments would be implemented in the 2022-2023 school year.
