Tavia Lefort

Hello families!

I am Tavia Lefort and I am so happy to be teaching your student this year!  This is my first year in the classroom, however, I had the pleasure of student teaching at McAuliffe and taught summer school, both in Second Grade.  I feel very fortunate to be sticking around, joining the Kindergarten team.

In May of 2022, I graduated from UNC with Latin Honors and a BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Performing and Visual Arts.  I am a Colorado native, raised in Fort Collins where I was fortunate to have amazing teachers of my own.  When I’m not in the classroom, I’m likely at home watching reruns of Friday Night Lights, at a football game watching my brother and dad coach, or standing at the barricade at a concert of one of the many artists I love. 

I am excited to establish a community with all students and encourage students to be kind to their peers, themselves, and the world around them! I believe that education is powerful and feel blessed to be a part in building that educational foundation for your student.  I look forward to a great year.
