Catherine Kré
Hello! I am Mrs. Kré (formerly Ms. Gray but I got married this past summer!). I am the middle-level Resource Teacher working with students with Individual Education Plans here at Chappelow.
I am a Colorado native and have lived around the northern Colorado area nearly all my life. I received my Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University in 2006 where I double-majored in Biological Sciences and Zoology. I worked as a vet tech and medical assistant for many years after college. In 2020, following the start of the COVID pandemic, I decided to change careers and become a teacher! I began working as a Substitute Teacher at Platte Valley Youth Services Center where I worked with youth ages 11-21 who were committed to the juvenile detention system. While working there, I was concurrently working on my Alternative Teaching Licensure through the University of Colorado. I earned my initial teaching license in Secondary Science in December 2021, shortly followed by earning an additional endorsement in Special Education. I continued teaching at Platte Valley Youth Services Center until August 2022 when I accepted this position at Chappleow!
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with a variety of ages and abilities. I am always excited to watch my students grow, learn, and succeed. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Email is best but I can also be reached by phone during school hours. I am in and out of my room often throughout the day, but leave a message and I will return your call promptly. All messages and emails will be returned within 24 hours (on days that school is in session), so please reach out if you need anything and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
¡Hola!
