Nova Martinez
I am Dr. Nova Martinez. I am excited to be part of our K-3 Romero Specials team as the S.T.E.M. teacher. I have been teaching for over 17 years. I am a Girl Scout leader, and proud mother of two. I am thrilled to be a part of this great school! I attended National Louis University (NLU) in Chicago, IL., where I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (certified birth to 3rd grade), psychology (specializing in child development and counseling), and Children’s Theater. While working as a Chicago public schools teacher, I earned my Master’s in Educational Leadership and Change, also at NLU. After moving to Greeley in 2005, I earned my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, CA.
I practice a child centered and community-based approach to learning. My goal is to create an educational environment that promotes a love of learning, social and emotional growth, and respect. I encourage the children to take ownership of the classroom, to be responsible, and reflect on their learning.
I look forward to getting to know you and your wonderful student. Please, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
