Speech Language Pathologist

I am the Speech-Language Pathologist serving students at Franklin Middle School this year.  This is my 8th year in D6 and I'm in my 19th year of working as a speech therapist!  I earned both my B.S. in Speech Pathology & Audiology and my M.S. in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas, Callier Center for Communication Disorders.  When I first started working in D6, I worked with middle school and preschool.  I then spent five years at Greeley West High School.  I felt it was time to go back to my middle school roots and started working with middle schoolers again in the fall of 2020 here at Franklin and at Jefferson Jr. High School, as well as Jefferson Sr. High School.  I enjoy working with secondary students, developing strong relationships with them, and helping them become better communicators and self-advocates before they continue on to high school.  I am a member of the district BrainSTEPs team that supports students with brain injuries as well as the Franklin Concussion Management Team.  In my spare time, which isn’t much these days, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog, crafting, sewing, reading, listening to all kinds of podcasts, and watching scary movies.
