This is Mrs. Villarreal's thirteenth year at GCHS.  She began her educational career in 1995 as a Preschool Teacher at Gloria Christi Lutheran in Greeley.  From there, she went on to become a Social Studies teacher at Ft. Lupton Middle School where she taught 7th grade for four years.  During her tenure there, she continued her education in English as a Second Language.  After completing her endorsement in ESL, she went on to teach high school Social Studies and ESL (ELL) at Mountain View High School in Loveland the first year it was opened.  She then became a full time ESL teacher in Longmont at Westview Middle School for four years.  Mrs. Villarreal then continued her education, earning her Master's degree in school counseling.  That experience led her to GCHS.

Mrs. Villarreal is a Colorado native.  She was born in Canon City and was raised in Pueblo.  She graduated from Pueblo County High School in 1991.  That same year, she moved to Greeley to attend UNC.  She has been married for 22 years and has a 21 year old son named Matthew who is a Central graduate and is now attending Doane University in Crete, Nebraska.  Mrs. Villarreal is a Counselor for all 12th graders (please see programs and assigned alphabet to find out if Mrs. V. is your child's counselor).  She is also the Diversity Union and Greeley's Race Against Hunger sponsor.

Please feel free to contact her at any time.  Mrs. Villarreal welcomes parent and student communication!
