This is Mrs. Villarreal's seventeenth year at GCHS. She began her educational career in 1995 as a Preschool Teacher at Gloria Christi Lutheran in Greeley. From there, she went on to become a Social Studies teacher at Ft. Lupton Middle School, where she taught 7th grade for four years. During her tenure there, she continued her education in English as a Second Language. After completing her endorsement in ESL, she went on to teach high school Social Studies and ESL (ELL) at Mountain View High School in Loveland the first year it was opened. She then became a full-time ESL teacher in Longmont at Westview Middle School for four years. Mrs. Villarreal then continued her education, earning her Master's degree in School Counseling. That experience led her to GCHS.
Mrs. Villarreal is a Colorado native. She was born in Canon City and was raised in Pueblo. She graduated from Pueblo County High School in 1991. That same year, she moved to Greeley to attend UNC. She has been married for 28 years and has a 25-year-old son named Matthew who is a 2015 Central graduate and recently graduated from Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. He is now a student at Eden Theological Seminary.
