Miss Lexi Ekern

Hi! My name is Ms. Ekern and I will be a first grade teacher this school year! I am so excited for this year. We will learn so many exciting things and grow with each other in the classroom. First graders are amazing!

I am a Colorado native who grew up in Longmont, and recently graduated from CSU with my teaching license and a Bachelors of Science in early childhood education. This will be my first year at S. Christa McAuliffe S.T.E.M. Academy!

Outside of the classroom, I love everything that has to do with nature and being outside. I enjoy hiking, camping, and swimming, as well as traveling to new places and trying new things. At home, I love reading, baking, and hanging out with my dog, Gunner, and my cat, Karma.

This year will be the best year ever! I know that I will learn so much from my students, and I can’t wait to watch us all grow together. My hope is that every student will feel loved, cared for, challenged, and excited inside the classroom. I know all of my students are capable of doing amazing things!
