Vida Treviño

Hi! I am Vida Treviño and I am excited to return to D6 to join the Tointon community as a 7th grade math teacher. My 32 years in education spans three states (Colorado, Ohio and Texas) and three grade levels (middle school - 5 yrs in District 6, high school and college). I earned an MEd from Texas Christian University, an MA in Math at the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Math Teacher Leadership Certificate from the University of Northern Colorado. I just finished a year as an Albert Einstein Fellow in Washington D.C. As a first-generation Hispanic college graduate, I am passionate about creating spaces that enable the underrepresented and marginalized to not only have a voice but to defy the odds. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, camping, hiking, biking, movies, festivals, and learning new things.
