Kindergarten

Welcome Class of 2034!  I am SO excited to have you in my class! 

Kindergarten is such an important grade!  It is where you will learn to read and write independently and become a mathematician as well.  It is a place to share information about your life and where you will learn how to be a great friend.  Our classroom is a place where each personality can shine; a fun and safe place to learn.  I hope when you leave Kindergarten, you will have a love of learning and lots of confidence!

This is my 14th year in Kindergarten at Christa McAuliffe.  I've also taught Kindergarten and First Grade at several other schools in District Six.  I graduated from The University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Elementary Education.  I also have an endorsement in Linguistically Diverse Education.

My husband Steve and I grew up in Greeley and have been married for 35 years.  We have three grown sons and two grandsons, who fill our lives with joy!  My greatest hobby is spending time with my family; gathering together, visiting, laughing, playing games and having movie marathons.  I enjoy taking care of my flower garden and I collect beautiful elephant figurines from around the world.

I hope you'll enjoy learning in Kindergarten as much as I enjoy teaching it.  It's going to be a wonderful school year!!
