Mr. Sutherland

Hello!

My name is Eric Sutherland and I came to Maplewood Elementary in 2022. I came to Maplewood right after graduating from college and have enjoyed being a kindergarten teacher. I attended the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) and got my bachelors degree in early childhood education. Since my time at UNC, I have grown to find a new love and appreciation for Greeley and its diverse community.

I chose Maplewood because of the love and support that all teachers, students, and families have for one another. Maplewood is a safe and welcoming environment that accepts all students for who they are, and for what they want to become. Maplewood has a very diverse community and I love being a part of that community.

When I am not teaching in the classroom, you can find me outside in nature with my wife, friends, or family. I love to go camping, hiking, paddle boarding, disc golfing and much more. I also really enjoy playing board games and card games of all types.

I am excited for this year and what it has to offer!!!
