Ms. Casillas

I have been a teacher for almost 32 years. I have had many different roles, and this is my second year as a librarian and computer lab teacher. I am excited to help all of our Jackson students learn to love reading and to find information on anything they want to know. My hope is that they will all feel confident and comfortable while working on the computer or in the library!
Besides my two grown-up children, my family includes three dogs Chulo (a shitzu mix), Steve (a chihuahua mix), and Frankie (just a scruffy, fuzzy mutt). I sometimes call them my 4-legged kids. My students love to hear stories about their crazy antics.
In my spare time, I like to read, do paper crafts, spend time with my granddaughters, and work on my yard.
This school year is also my very last year as an educator, as I will be retiring at the end of May. I am so lucky to have spent my last ten years of teaching at a FABULOUS school!! Thank you, Jackson community, for giving me the honor of teaching and loving your children.
