Hi Jackson Saints. My name is Mrs. Schultz. My husband (who is also a teacher), two daughters and I moved back to the area so I could be the new Jackson STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Teacher Librarian. I have been learning so much already and am excited to learn alongside you with legos, books, robots, and all kind of fun new tools! I am obsessed with books and solving problems, and we are going to learn so much together in our new SMART lab. How lucky are we to have gotten this grant for our school? I am excited to read to you, with you, and pretty please will you read to me? "Storybook STEM" and tying the library and lab together is going to be my goal.
This year, we are hoping to take part in the Global Read-Aloud. I am from El Paso, Texas and recently spent some time doing missionary work in Mongolia so I'm excited to share these two passions of reading and global-mindedness with you.
My favorite reading website is https://readaloudrevival.com/picture-books-for-september/. Each month they list great books for all age levels, so here is this month's list, many of which are at the libraries in Greeley. A public library card can take you anywhere and right now you can get one virtually! https://www.mylibrary.us/my_library_card/#1481841192038-704890e7-3faf. What a gift you can give your children with so many books both online and in person. I'm excited to meet you and your child. Check out the photo of our brand new lab!
