District 6 Athletics

  • Welcome to the District 6 Athletics homepage. Below, you can find quick links to student-athlete registration forms and other important information related to middle and high school athletics. For specific questions, contact me or the school athletic director where your child attends.

Registration links for all middle and high schools are now active for all sports for the 2019-2020 school year! It is possible to register for ALL your planned sports activities at the same time!
See the list of schools and athletic directors contact information on these pages.
We are fortunate to have an outstanding collaborative athletics program with the City of Greeley for our middle school/K-8 athletic programs. This collaboration allows us to have a "No Cut" policy.

Please remember, our Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball, and Soccer programs will have a new format.

For these sports, we will have tryouts for all 6, 7, and 8 grade participants. Athletes will be placed on one of four teams, regardless of grade-level. The four teams will be varsity, junior varsity, C, and D. All four levels will be filled if participation numbers will fill all levels.

Our schools participate in the Greeley Middle School Athletic League. We would like to welcome Salida del Sol to our league for all sports except football.

For Football, 7th and 8th grade football teams participate in the Tri-City FB League with middle schools from Greeley, Severance and Windsor. 6th grade football is part of the collaborative program with the City of Greeley. This league includes teams from around northern Colorado.
Our three comprehensive high schools are all members of the Colorado High School Activities Association. Click this link to the CHSAA Now Website for all things State related information for high school athletics.
Greeley Central and Northridge are in the 4A state classification and compete in the Northern League for all sports except football. Greeley West is in the 5A state classification and competes in the Front Range League for all sports except football.

  • General Information

    1. Ride with Parent form this form is used when there is an anticipated challenge with an athlete, usually getting home from an event. This allows a parent to give permission to another parent/guardian to transport their student-athlete home from a contest. It requires approval through your school's athletic director.
    2. Student Safety see information regarding concussion injuries and standard protocols used by coaches, athletic trainers, and school health office staff in the identification, management, return to learn, and return to play guidelines established through the REAP Initiative. All student athletes removed from participation due to the potential of concussion, must be "cleared" to return to play by a medical professional who is certified to make such determinations. Please review the information in this section. Head injuries/concussion is not limited to football. In D6, the sports with the highest number of concussions are usually Cheer, Football, and Soccer, however we see this type of injury in all sports.
    3. Athletic Registration occurs online for all D6 HS's and MS's. Scroll to the bottom of this page to find links to each school's registration site. You will find middle schools followed by high schools. Contact your school's athletic director if you have questions regarding registration and fees for participation.
    4. Placement of Student-Athletes into Schools-D6 Policy for Placing Students in Schools, When Their School Does Not Have a Sport or They are Home School Students This policy includes State Statute and CHSAA related by laws to ensure students participate at the appropriate school. Contact the District Athletic Director or School Athletic Director of the school you would like to attend to determine appropriate placement.
