Degrees and Certifications:
Hello and Welcome to Our Learning Environment! Our students are our family. This is my twelfth year of teaching, and eighth year of teaching at Dos Rios Elementary School. I worked to earn my Masters in Elementary Education at the University of Arkansas back in 2004. Before becoming a classroom teacher, I became certified in Reading Recovery and taught Reading Recovery in Arkansas. I taught second grade as well in Arkansas before moving to Colorado to teach as well as pursue my soccer dreams at the same time. Living in Colorado made it easy to travel to combines and tryouts for the professional league and even for the 2012 London Olympics. We work hard together as a team in my classroom of college bound life-long learners! Our third grade students are excited to model the Buffalo B's while working hard in literacy, math, science, social studies, and writing at the same time. Thank you for bringing your child to school on time to take advantage of each minute of learning here at Dos Rios Elementary School. I am honored to work with your child. This will be an exciting year of going through the authorization process with becoming an International Baccalaureate School. We will continue to work on creating globally conscious citizens who cultivate a culture of care and have an open mind regarding other cultures and beliefs.
Parents and families are our partners in education with our students. We appreciate all that our parents, guardians, and families do for our school!
