My name is Kate Ferrey and I am a second grade teacher at Maplewood Elementary School.  I am so excited to welcome students back into the classroom with increased safey protocals in place.  We are going through a very uncertain time in our world and while this may be scary at first we will get through it together and do our best to adjust.

This is my tneth year teaching at Maplewood and I am so excited to be here.  I graduated from The University of Northern Colorado in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Language Arts. I received my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Trauma and Resilience in Educational Settings through Concordia University in 2019.

Besides teaching I enjoy being outdoors.  I love sports! I especially love to play and watch soccer! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also have two beautiful daughters, Adelina (3) and Lucilla (7 months).
