Mrs. Dawn Bjork

Hello! My name is Mrs. Bjork, and this is my fifteenth year teaching Art at Meeker Elementary. I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Art Education. I love teaching art because of all the exploring and creating we get to do! I spend my spare time with my husband and seven year old twins. They really keep me busy! I'm so excited to be at Meeker for another wonderful year!

This year in art, your students will be doing all sorts of interesting things. Our theme for the 2022/2023 school year is "An EPIC Year".  We'll be learning all about the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. We'll study many cultures and people and learn about color theory, drawing techniques, and how to use many different art materials. It is my goal that all students will leave art with a strong capability to solve problems creatively, which is a highly sought after skill in today's world.
