I was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, where I attended Pueblo Central High School. I participated in volleyball, basketball, and track, and was an active member of National Honor Society and the yearbook staff. After graduating in 1987, I moved to Greeley for college at the University of Northern Colorado. I student taught at Greeley West in 1992 and was fortunate to be hired to teach Language Arts here the following year. Woah... That means the 2018-2019 school year is my 26th year here! Amazing, especially since I am clearly not that old! I hold a Masters of Education degree with a specialization in Literacy and Learning in the Content Areas.

My two precious and adorable sons, Kenyon (19, college sophomore) and Landon (16, junior), are far and away the best part of my life! I adore them endlessly! My favorite activities include hanging out with my boys, socializing with friends, reading, photography, and watching the Rockies! "Carpe Diem!"
