I was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, where I attended Pueblo Central High School. I participated in volleyball, basketball, and track, and was an active member of National Honor Society and the yearbook staff. After graduating in 1987, I moved to Greeley for college at the University of Northern Colorado. I student taught at Greeley West in 1992 and was fortunate to be hired to teach Language Arts here the following year. Woah... That means the 2020-2021 school year is my 28th year here! Amazing, especially since I am clearly not that old! I hold a Masters of Education degree with a specialization in Literacy and Learning in the Content Areas.

My two precious sons, Kenyon (21) and Landon (18), are far and away the best part of my life! I adore them endlessly! My favorite activities include hanging out with my boys, socializing with friends, going to concerts, reading, photography, and watching the Rockies! "Carpe Diem!"
