Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jennifer Jackson
Welcome to Mrs. Jackson's Classroom Website
Welcome! I am so excited to be a part of Jackson Elementary School again this year! This is my sixth year here and I absolutely love it! It is so inspiring and fulfilling to work in a building with staff members whom are so dedicated to the students they encounter each day! I am proud to call myself a Jackson Saint.
Education: I spent my entire childhood in Rock Springs, Wyoming. I graduated from high school and immediately knew that I wanted to go to college to become a teacher. I graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2000 with a degree in elementary education and minored in cultural proficiency. I continued on with my education and received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership in 2007.
Experience: I have spent many years teaching in different areas of Colorado. Most of my time was spent teaching 5th grade in Sterling, CO. I also spent time teaching in Loveland, CO. For six years, I was extremely busy writing curriculum, correlations, and various other writing projects, as well as traveling the country facilitating in-services/trainings for large publishing companies. I also taught college courses that focused on math and science for future educators through CCU.
Personal: I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, whether it's at the cabin, the beach, or at any of their many extracurricular activities! I also love to read, garden, walk my dogs, play tennis, and spend time outside!
