Mrs. Micah Evans
Welcome to first grade!
My name is Micah Evans. I have been in education for 16 years, and I have taught at Jackson for a total of 15 years. During the 2012-2013 school year, I was a Literacy Coach for the school district, helping teachers to implement the literacy curriculum for Kindergarten through fifth grade teachers. Although I learned a lot about how to teach students to read, I missed the day-to-day interaction with students. I decided to come back to Jackson and back to first grade. I love it! I have taught English as a Second Language for Kindergarten through fifth grade. For the past 11 years of my teaching experience, I have been teaching first grade. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish with added endorsements for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse as well as a endorsement for Bilingual Education. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and a Educational Specialist Degree in Leadership. I have two sons and a daughter. During my free time, I love to read as well as spend time in the mountains with my family.
If you have any questions during the school year, please feel free to email or call me.
