A little about me: I'm so happy to be teaching at Jackson and I'm thrilled to have 5th grade students again this year!  This is my 6th year teaching at Jackson and I absolutely love our Jackson family! I get excited when learning happens and when my students gain knowledge they'll use for years to come.

I love being outside, hiking trails all over Colorado, running, baking sweet treats, traveling, being in the mountains, and spending a lot of time with my family, puppy, and friends, but always love getting back into the classroom!!

New this year: We are implementing AVID into our classroom! This will help students learn organizational tools that they can use throughout their lives. We are excited to continue the work of preparing students for college and careeer readiness at Jackson!  Along with AVID, we are using planners.  The planners will help students stay organized and will update parents on homework, events going on at school, and what we accomplished in class each day.  Please take time to review your child's planner with them each night and sign at the bottom.  This will also be where I include any parent notes home!

If you are a parent or guardian and you ever have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to email, call, or visit me! PLEASE look for my bi-weekly newsletter in your students' Friday folders and for notes in their planners.

I love teaching 5th grade because of how much our students grow and change throughout the year! It is always exciting to prepare them for Middle School and I am excited for another year with my AMAZING, wonderful students!
