Mr. Brad Farbo
My name is Brad Farbo and I’m the Behavior Specialist here at Scott Elementary. This is my first year serving as the schools Behavior Specialist. The students may also know me as “Coach Farbo'' as I served as the PE Teacher at Scott for the past 8 years. I am happy to say that this is my 9th year at Scott Elementary and 11th year in education overall. During my time teaching, I have had many accomplishments, but the two that stand out the most for me are being chosen for the Encore Teaching Excellence award during my time in the St. Vrain School District. I was nominated by parents of the school and only one teacher from the school is able to receive the award. I am very grateful and honored to have received the award. My other accomplishment that stands out for me is helping write PE curriculum units for kindergarten through the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). I love working in education and look forward to supporting my students and their families in any way that I can. I’ve had many outstanding students throughout my years teaching and have been extremely fortunate to have built so many postive relationships with our Scott community. I pride myself in treating each student as an individual and treating each student in a fair and consistent manner. My goal as a Behavior Specialist is to support our Scott students, families and community through teaching positive social interactions, supporting mental health and helping students find balance in their life. When our students move on with their education hopefully, I will leave a positive and lasting impact that will last a lifetime. I was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado and currently reside in Johnstown, Colorado. During my time in Pueblo, I enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball. Eventually, I moved on to attend Trinidad State Junior College for baseball where I received an associate of arts degree. After Trinidad, I attended Colorado State University- Pueblo for baseball and received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Physical Education. Additionally, I received a master’s degree in Educational Leadership through the University of Northern Colorado. I am married to the love of my life, Kendace, and we have two dogs “Salem & Shea'' who we absolutely adore. They mean the world to me! I look forward to supporting your child and helping them achieve their goals. If you ever have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
