Amy Bekins

Assistant Principal

Following a career change, Amy started her educational career in 2012 at Greeley Central High School teaching Chemistry, AP Chemistry, among other science classes. She taught there for ten years and ran the Freshman Transition Program that led her administration at Central to convince her to go into administration, and fostered a love of middle level. She taught at Central for 10 years, and her last year at Central took on a leadership role working as an instructional coach and led discipline for the school, while still teaching two classes. In 2022, she started at Franklin as an assistant principal, and loves working at middle school. She holds a bachelors in psychology from Colorado State University, a Masters in Curriculum Studies with a secondary science emphasis in Chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado, and is currently working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from UNC.
