Degrees and Certifications:
The ability to read is perhaps the most important skill students can learn at school. The Colorado Reading to Ensure Academic Development Act (Colorado READ Act) was passed in 2012 so that all children are reading at grade level by the time they enter fourth grade. Early literacy supports comprehension of facts in science, social studies, math word problems, and complex concepts in language arts in addition to supporting graduation, college and career readiness. As a READ Plan interventionist, I will be doing my IB best to move your child towards grade-level proficiency in reading. My professional training and development includes the 5 Components of Reading LETRS Modules 1,2,3; Lindamood-Bell Phoneme Sequencing (LiPS); Orton-Gillingham Training & Refresher; and the International Baccalaureate Reading and Writing through Inquiry.
