Mr. Ryan McDougal
Principal

Welcome to Scott Elementary!

My name is Ryan McDougal, and I have the great honor of serving as principal of Scott Elementary. I am beginning my 5th year here and am excited by all the amazing things we have accomplished and will continue to work on in the coming year. I know that you entrust us with the care and education of the most important thing in your life. We do not take this responsibility lightly and feel privileged that you have chosen Scott Elementary. We are working to form strong, lasting partnerships with parents and the greater community to help us in our journey. I highly encourage you to be involved with your child's education in any way you can. We would love to have you come volunteer, serve on a committee, be a member of PTO or attend a performance.

If there is anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you this school year!

Thank you,
Ryan W. McDougal

Mrs. Jenny Henriksen
Assistant Principal

My name is Jenny Henriksen and I have the privilege of serving the students, families, and community of Scott Elementary as the Assistant Principal. I look forward to working with you all personally but I would like to give you some information about my background. This is my 1st year as Assistant Principal, but my 10th year in education. I taught K-6 for three years as the Science/Technology teacher at Bella Romero Academy. I then continued by teaching career as a 7th grade homeroom educator for the next 3 years. During this time I earned my master's degree from CSU in Educational Leadership and then became the Dean of Culture at Romero for the last three years.

I am originally from Illinois where I met my husband Eric. I am a lifelong Chicago sports fan through the good and the bad. I began my career in education at Northern Illinois University and received my undergrad degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Middle school. Now in Colorado, my husband and I enjoy spending time outdoors with our dog Wrigley (Go Cubs!). I feel privileged to be living out my dream in a school that is truly exceptional. I assure you that my commitment to excellence and my eagerness to grow as a leader will be something that I carry with me everyday when working with students, staff, and families.

Thank you,
Jenny Henriksen
Assistant Principal
