Mrs. Elizabeth Urich, Assistant Principal
Urich earned her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. Before joining Dos Rios, Mrs. Urich most recently taught 4th grade at McAuliffe Elementary, serving previously at Scott Elementary and Cameron Elementary. She is a thoughtful leader who brings great strength to the position of Assistant Principal in the areas of communication, collaboration, instructional leadership and the data team process. She is also a certified math demonstration teacher for District Six.
Urich is also familiar with the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate, for which Dos Rios is currently a candidate school, seeking authorization in spring 2017.

Before joining District 6, he was an assistant principal and school leader in Weld County School District RE-3J for 6 years. Matt earned his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, Innovation, and Change, at the University of Northern Colorado. In his current work at Dos Rios, he leads the Pedagogical Leadership Team while he serves as the liaison between the school and the supporting community organizations. Thompson was also previously an 8th grade English teacher at Weld Central Junior High.
