Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a discretionary grant program from the U.S. Department of Education designed to increase the number of low-income students prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education in Weld Count District 6.
The GEAR UP grant will help build a college-going culture within our schools by supporting college visits, career exploration, and academic planning. This 7-year partnership provides additional mentoring, advising, and tutor support to current 12th-grade students attending Greeley Central, Greeley West, Northridge, and Jefferson High School through their graduation from a District 6 high school. The class of 2020 will be receiving GEAR UP support through their first year of college.Services Provided
