Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a discretionary grant program from the U.S. Department of Education designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education.
The GEAR UP grant will help build a college going culture within our schools by supporting college visits, career exploration and academic planning. This 7-year partnership provides additional mentoring, advising, and tutor support to current 11th and 12th grade students attending Greeley Central, Greeley West, Northridge and Jefferson High School through their graduation from a District 6 high school.

Aims Summer BridgeAll District 6 High Schools
This Summer the 2020 Senior class for all District 6 High Schools have the oppurtunity of earning 2 college credits at Aims Community College here in Greeley. It is a way for the students to get introduced into what college classes are like as well as earning those credits for free. These classes start on May 28th and go through June 27th. They will be held on Tuesday's and Thursday's. Tuesday's classes will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. and Thurday's classes will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Snacks and lunch will be provided for the students as well. The deadline for the paperwork and the application are due by May 1st and is limited to 100 students. Students must also attend a MANDATORY orientation at Aims on May 9th.
