Mrs. Martinez
Celia Martinez (formerly Celia Nutting) is entering her ninth year as a third grade teacher at Maplewood Elementary. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Oswego in 2011, a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Greeley’s own UNC in 2019, and a master’s from UNC in Special Education with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2022. During her time at Maplewood, she has participated in the school community as a curriculum adopter, an afterschool/summer school teacher, an RTI facilitator, a PBIS behavior specialist, a UNC’s Reading Achiever’s program educator, and a host teacher for several UNC students. In the 2023-2024 school year she will continue to facilitate the school-wide RTI process, host UNC students in her classroom, and teach UNC students in the Reading Achiever’s program.
Celia continues to choose Maplewood because of the people. There are no better students, families, or staff than Maplewood Mustangs! Partnership with families is an important part of the success of all scholars and Mrs. Martinez is available to collaborate with through these means of communication:
