Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, and thanks for stopping by my page! I am Mrs. Romero, and I am so happy to be the Resource/Multi-Categorical classroom teacher assisting students with special needs here at Chappelow! I have a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from New Mexico State University (Go Aggies!), and have been teaching for over 20 years. My previous teaching experiences have been at Cameron Elementary School and Monfort Elementary School here in Greeley, at Eyestone Elementary School (K-6) in Wellington, CO, and at White Sands K-8 School on White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
I am married to my wonderful husband Mike, and together we have 5 kids ranging in age from 11 to 19. The youngest two currently attend Chappelow, and two of my older children attended Chappelow before moving on to the Arts Magnet Program at Greeley Central High School, where one is now a Senior. My oldest is currently a Sophomore at Arizona State University, and my step-son is a Freshman at Colorado School of Mines. I am a big supporter of the arts in schools and in our community, and I enjoy attending my kids’ many performances for band, choir, dance and drama. In addition, I serve as the President of the Board of Directors for the Greeley Children’s Chorale, and I love to talk about what a great organization it is, just ask me! When I’m not busy running my kids around, I enjoy reading, traveling, shopping, and watching my guilty pleasure, reality shows on TLC!
I’m looking forward to a great year here at Chappelow! I love working with your children and I find it so exciting and rewarding when I see them learning and growing! Please contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns, I would love to hear from you! The best ways to communicate with me are through email, or by phone. Please leave me a message and I will return it as soon as I can!
