Degrees and Certifications:
I was born in the countryside of El Salvador where I spent the first 8 years of my childhood with farmer grandparents and 2 siblings. My humble beginnings taught me to appreciate and love the little things and little acts of kindness. Because of these experiences, I live my life as a servant leader.
I grew up in Washington DC. As a high school student, I was the battalion commander to a group of student members of the JROTC program. Because of the influence from members of the JROTC program, I took it upon myself to make a difference in the lives of young children and our community.
I am blessed to be a father and a husband. Both of my children, Alexandre and Gisele are scholars here at Meeker Elementary School. My wife is an experienced French teacher currently teaching at Central High School. She was a double major in Modern Dance and French. She has a Masters in Pedagogical Strategies, and her work on standardized grading can be found in the Whitewater University Library, Wisconsin. She is also part of the Greeley Chorale here in town. My family is my strength. We are a trilingual family invested in our community.
Born in La Union, El Salvador 1976. I am the first person in my family to have graduated from high school and later became a college graduate. My parents and siblings live in Silver Spring, Maryland. Upon graduating from Woodrow Wilson Senior High School in Washington D.C., I was accepted to Marian University in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin and played soccer for the duration of my college career there. I taught Spanish for 10 years prior to moving into a new career as a school administrator. My first job as an administrator was at the high school level. This is my 8th year as a school administrator, and I am currently work on my Ph.D., and my dissertation pertains to dual-language acquisition.
