    UPDATES

    Welcome to District 6!  We are excited to have you on board!

     

    New Professionals will go through the D6 New Professionals Academy which will get you ready for your first year of teaching with District 6.  There are two parts to this training.  Part 1 (July 28 and 29) is required for all Professionals who need to complete an Induction program.  While Part I is not required for Professionals with a Professional License, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you attend.  There is important training and information delivered on these 2 days, so we hope to see everyone there!  Part II (August 2, 3, 4, and October 11) is required for all new professionals as it is part of your contract.  All sessions will be held at Northridge High School - please refer to the brochure that matches your job title to see a more detailed agenda.

    Part I - Northridge High School (100 71st Ave. Greeley, CO 80634)

    • August 4, 2021 - 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

    • October 11, 2021 - 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (location TBD)

    Agendas: General agendas and Induction requirements (if applicable) can be found at the bottom of this page.  Click on the one that applies to you (if you're unsure which one to reference, feel free to reach out, we are happy to help). 

    Email Access: Most of you should have received an email to your personal email address about how to set up your district email.  Please try to complete this process before the first day of training.  

    Materials: If you are able, please bring a device on July 28th and 29th.  We will have some Chromebooks if you are unable to bring a device.  On August 2nd, you will not need a device in the morning, in the afternoon, you will be going to your building and should be issued a district device that day.  Please bring that back with you on August 3rd and 4th.   

    Dress Code: Please plan to wear business-casual attire.  

    Food: Lunch will be provided on August 2nd (boxed lunches from Jason's Deli).  All other days, you will have a 1-hour break for lunch, which will be on your own.  There are some fast-food restaurants (McDonald's, Jack in the Box, Taco Bell, Burger King, Jimmy Johns) about a 5-minute drive from Northridge (there are no restaurants within walking distance).  Please feel free to bring snacks and a refillable water bottle each day.

    Parking: Please park in the west parking lot and enter through the west doors. 

    Check-in: We will have check-in tables set up in the hallway of the west entrance.  Please stop here so we can help direct you where to go and say hello!
