Grade: Kindergarten

Welcome to Mr. Helmbrecht's Kindergarten Page!  I am so excited to be working with you and your child this year.  This is my 16th year teaching.  I have taught as a literacy specialist for students in grades k-8, have been a classroom teacher in both Pre-K and Kindergarten, and was a MCAT special education teacher. I love working with our littles in kindergarten and being a part of their first "big school" experience. You are going to be amazed at how much your child learns this year! 

I am originally from New York State. I lived in Western New York and actually have never been to NYC.  I earned my Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education and my Master's Degree as a Literacy Specialist from the State University of New York College at Buffalo (aka Buff State).  My family and I moved to Colorado 6 years ago. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, hiking, and exploring beautiful Colorado! I am proud to be a Monfort Trailblazer, and I look forward to being a partner in your child's education.
