Hello, I'm Andy Hartshorn! I'm excited to begin my third year as Assistant Principal at Brentwood Middle School. I have been in education for 23 years, spending about 5 years teaching mathematics at Frederick High School followed by 14 years teaching mathematics at Greeley Central High School. I have spent the rest of my career at Brentwood Middle School as an instructional coach, IB coordinator, teacher, and AP. 

Outside of school I spend my time with my wife Jessica and our two sons, Aiden and Gavin. In addition to our human family, we have two dogs: Tic and Mac, and four cats: Bertha, Queso, Charlie, and Dee. 

My goal in education is to support students and families to maximize learning academically and socially to prepare students for the next step in their life - initially high school, then either college or career. I believe education is the great equalizer and my hope is to help students at Brentwood as they navigate the world of middle school and grow into the amazing humans that they are.
