Hello Panthers!

My name is Jen Fisher and I am the professional school counselor for class of 2029 while students are here at Heath Middle School.

A little bit about me is I love my growing family. My son was born in April 2018, and my daughter was born in May of 2022. I also have two fur babies. Delilah is a dobermann mixed with a cane corso, and Jasper, an Irish Setter mix. My fiancé and family enjoy hiking, going to the zoo, running, and playing volleyball.

I grew up in Michigan and my favorite childhood memories tend to involve the beautiful Great Lakes. After graduating high school in 2006, I moved to Colorado with some of my family. I started at Aims Community College. When I earned my associate degree, I transferred to Colorado State University for my bachelor’s degree in sociology. I had an amazing opportunity to work with teenage boys in a group home where they taught me a lot. Through some life experiences and reflection, I earned my master’s degree in school counseling at Capella University online. I have been a school counselor since the fall of 2016. I love being a school counselor because my learning never stops!

As you can see, I took many steps to become a school counselor. I enjoy working with families, students, teachers, and other important stakeholders for students to not only dream, but accomplish their academic, personal, and vocational goals.
