Hello!

My name is Nathan Myers and I am excited to be in my first year of teaching 7th grade Social Studies at Heath Middle School! Along with teaching social studies, I will be coaching volleyball and basketball. I graduated from the University ofNorthern Colorado with a Degree in History. Before moving to Greeley, I lived for more than 13 years in the Eastern European country of Bulgaria. I love traveling and have had the fortune of having been to 23 countries. In my spare time I love playingbasketball, snowboarding, and reading. 

In social studies, students will be taking on the role of social scientists, historians, geographers, and archeologists to examine some of the world's first civilizations and their impact on our world today, including Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, Greece, Rome, and the Middle Ages. They will develop critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative skills while learning about Ancient Civilizations. I'm looking forward to a great year! Go Panthers!
