District 6 VIP Tours

  • Greeley-Evans School District 6 is offering a new way for residents to get a personal view of what is happening in its public schools.

The District 6 VIP Tours will kick off September 27. These half-day tours will provide information on the operations of the school district, including academic programs, instructional practices, assessments, district finances and much more. Participants will visit and tour three schools, as well as the Central Kitchen and Warehouse. Lunch will be provided, and participants will be transported via school bus to different sites.

“We want anyone who is interested to be able to see first-hand what is happening in District 6 schools, and get real and timely information about District 6,” said Superintendent Dr. Deirdre Pilch. “This is also a great opportunity for our stakeholders to ask questions about our schools and discover what we are doing to educate our students.”

The tours will be held six times throughout the school year, either from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., or from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The morning tours will begin at the District 6 Administration Building, 1025 9thAvenue. The afternoon tours will begin at the District 6 Service Center, 2508 4th Avenue.

Participants will visit one elementary school, a K-8 or middle school, and a high school. There will also be time for discussion and questions on the ride between locations. These tours are replacing the District 6 Citizens Academy this year.
