Welcome to the English Language Learners page! My name is Ms. Rogakis, and I am the  ELD teacher at Winograd K-8 School. My position at Winograd is to teach instructional reading groups for each grade level.

Though I do use materials and strategies to benefit English Language Learners, I also use strategies that will benefit every learner in my targeted instruction group. Every grade level I teach includes different levels of reading instruction. Though we work very hard in my groups, we also have quite a bit of fun as we learn about different stories and how to apply different reading strategies as we read the stories.

This year I will be assisting in Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade. As the groups become established, there will be information posted about the content that will be addressed in every Reading group.
