Mrs. Cheryl Lee
Dear Early College Families,
Welcome to the 2019-20 school year at Early College Academy! I am your new principal and I’m very excited to be a part of the outstanding team at Early College Academy. I have many years of experience in K-12 administration, and also as a secondary teacher and counselor, both here in D6 and in two other Colorado districts. I’m a Greeley native and have worked in schools very similar to E.C.A.’s model of collaboration with Aims Community College. I am honored to be a part of this amazing school, providing support in any way that I can to keep us moving forward.
Please help me welcome our new teachers to E.C.A.! They are:
Mel Beale - Health
Ana George - Spanish
Karen Hansen – Psychology
Mel Pomponio-English/Lang. Arts
Jami Ryba - Sociology
Jeff Shriner - Math
Sofia Veldhuizen – Spanish
The official opening of E.C.A. is coming up very soon. All students will begin their first full day of classes on August 15th, with new students starting August 14th. We’ve been working hard over the summer to continuously improve our blended academic program, resulting in our students earning an Aims Community College associate of arts degree, along with their District #6 high school diploma.
Please know that we are glad you’ve chosen E.C.A. to provide your child an outstanding high school and early college education. Student registration will take place on August 2nd, from 9:00-11:00am for 9th/10th graders and from 12:00-2:00pm for 11th/12th graders. All of us at E.C.A. look forward to seeing you at registration as well as working with you the entire year!
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
