This year I am excited to embark on a new adventure as the Co-teaching Instructional Coach here at Meeker. I have been a District 6 teacher since 2001! I spent most of my time in this district at Centennial Elementary School. I have held many positions in my career; K-3 reading teacher, CLD teacher, 1st Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade teacher, Direct Instruction Instructional Coach, K-5 Instructional Coach, and Co-Teaching Instructional Coach. I am passionate about supporting teachers and students in the learning process and I always grow and learn as a result of the interactions I have with both teachers and students. It always warms my heart and makes me so proud when former students get in touch with me and update me on their accomplishments! I attended McCook Community College right after highschool and transferred to UNC where I would earn my Bachelor's Degree in Social Science with an emphasis is Elementary Education and a minor in psychology. After a few years of teaching, I went on to pursue my Master's in Reading and my Ed.S. in Educational Leadership. I love learning and growing. I am excited to be at Meeker this year in a new role. We have amazing people in our building. Our leaders, support staff, teachers, and students are truly incredible.
On a personal side, I am also a mom of four. I have a step daughter who just graduated from the same community college I attended. I have 5 year old boy/girl twins and a 3 year old daughter. They keep me busy and I love being a mom. One of our favorite places to spend time together is at Lake McConaughy in NE.
