Mrs. Nicole Stewart

Thanks for visiting our webpage. I am excited to serve as the Assistant Principal at Dos Rios this year. I have worked at Dos Rios for the last 2 years as an Instructional Coach, and I love this community. I grew up near Topeka, Kansas and earned my Bachelor's Degree from Pittsburg State University in Southeast Kansas. After moving to Colorado, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Special Education Administration from University of Northern Colorado. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, traveling as much as I can, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time with my family.

Our commitment to the children of Dos Rios is to provide a quality educational experience that fosters an endless curiosity for the world around us. Our students leave prepared for middle school with a solid foundation in literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, Spanish, and the arts through our work with the INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAMME (IBPYP). We believe that an IBPYP education is a better way of learning that promotes critical thinking and problem solving, a celebration of diversity, and global citizenship. It also fosters student agency: student voice, choice, and ownership over their learning. Most of our students continue in the DISTRICT SIX IB CONTINUUM of schools via BRENTWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL (an IB Middle Years Programme School) and GREELEY WEST HIGH SCHOOL (an IB Diploma Programme School). An IB diploma is the gold standard in education and is widely accepted throughout the international community.

Please feel free to schedule an appointment to learn more about our programmes and philosophy. We look forward to serving you and your children!

Kindly,

Nicole Stewart
