Mrs. Morgan

Aloha! My name is Stacey Morgan and I have been at Centennial since 2013. I have been a Title 1 Interventionist, and now am so lucky to teach first grade. This is such a wonderful school, and I look forward to all of the learning that we will be doing during the upcoming school year. This year, we will continue to become fluent readers, we will work on numeracy and developing number sense, fine tune our critical thinking skills, and become positive participants in our school community. It will be a very exciting year of exploring, learning, and fun, and we will SOAR to success by being Safe, Organized, Achieving, and Respectful. A great communication tool we use in class is the app "Remind."  Joining this app will allow us to send messages back and forth throughout the year. Please let me know if you need a new code. Regular communication can also be found on our First Grade Team website on the Centennial website. I am so looking forward to working with your scholars and getting to know all of you! :)

A little personal background about myself. I am a Colorado native, growing up in Colorado Springs. I moved to Fort Collins for college and graduated from Colorado State University with my Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies as well as my Early Childhood Education teaching license. I also have my Elementary Education teaching endorsement. I was extremely fortunate to complete my student teaching in 2008 out in Hawaii when my husband returned from his deployment in Iraq. After I completed my student teaching, I taught a parent participation preschool program for military families through the Armed Services YMCA then taught at a local elementary school, Helemano Elementary, as an interventionist and a Kindergarten teacher for 3 years. Although my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our nearly 6 years out in Hawaii, when my husband was medically retired from the Army, we moved back to Colorado and bought a house in the Greeley area. I do miss the beach, but I try to enjoy all of the wonderful outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, our bulldogs Penny, Millie, and Tonka, and our cats, Ube and Peaches. Hiking, fishing, and paddleboarding are also hobbies of mine.
