Mr. Jacob Allam

Hello Families! I am proud and excited to be a part of the Centennial family! I began teaching 6th grade in 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma but my plan, for several years, was to move to Colorado permanently. Last year I co-taught the 5th grade with Mrs. Drexler. I had an amazing experience in my first year here and I am excited to be back for another year! This year I will be co-teaching the 4th grade. I love getting to know the kiddos and their families so please feel free to introduce yourself sometime.

A little more about me...

I am originally from Seattle, Washington but I moved to North Dakota where I attended Mayville State University and received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education. I lived in Virginia for a couple of years until I got engaged in 2016. I moved to Oklahoma in 2017 where I began my teaching career. My wife and I got married in Minnesota in August 2018. We began planning our move to Colorado when I was still in Virginia and we fulfilled that dream in July 2019.

I grew up playing outdoors in the mountains, rivers, lakes and ocean and I have missed having most of those things surround me ever since I left Washington State. I am so grateful to, again, be surrounded by the captivating and beautiful natural world around us! I love to spend time hiking, camping and attending many different sporting events. I have traveled through 45 different states which, I think, shows my deep love for exploring.

My goal at Centennial Elementary is to foster and nurture a fun and safe environment for all learners. Our team collaborates to build up each of our scholars so that when future life opportunities are presented to them they are well prepared and qualified with the skills necessary to fulfill any goals or dreams they may have. I love to guide my students and be an example and give them chances to take on leadership roles and have a positive effect on their peers. I look forward to seeing them all grow in their own way!

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your amazing community!
