Alumni stories help inspire our students to realize their dreams and goals, and are an important affirmation for our hard-working staff. We appreciate your willingness to share your story with us. Ally Mueller, Class of 2010 Meet Northridge High School Class of 2010 graduate Ally Mueller. Following her high school graduation, Ally went to CU Boulder with the intention of becoming a doctor, but soon realized that her true calling was teaching. She transferred to the University of Northern Colorado where she received a bachelors in History and Secondary Education and a masters degree in Teaching Diverse Learners. After graduating, Ally brought her skills and passion for history to Jefferson High School in Greeley-Evans School District 6.

Dario Garcia, Class of 2018 Meet Northridge High School Class of 2018 graduate Dario Garcia. Dario currently studies Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. Recently, he was given the honor of having his name embedded in a microchip that is on the Mars Perseverance rover. In the next few months, he will begin an internship at First RF Corporation, an "advanced technologies company specializing in designing and manufacturing antennas and radio frequency (RF) systems".

Breanna Olson, Class of 2016 Meet Frontier Academy Class of 2016 graduate Breanna Olson. Breanna graduated from the University of Northern Colorado last year, and works as a Registered Nurse at North Colorado Medical Center. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Breanna worked on the frontlines with COVID-19 patients. In the future, she hopes to work in the Intensive Care Unit and care for critically ill patients.
"Going through the second peak as a nurse was a whole different experience, and knowing that I'm responsible for that patient in the room was a big responsibility."

Paige Kadavy, Class of 2016 Meet Greeley Central High School Class of 2016 graduate Paige Kadavy. Paige graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in May 2020 with a Mechanical Engineering degree, and is currently in a first year Humanitarian Engineering and Science Masters Program at the Colorado School of Mines. Growing up in the diverse D6 community sparked her interest in sustainable community development and working with minority communities.

Kendra Aragon, Class of 2012 Meet Northridge High School Class of 2012 graduate Kendra Aragon. Motivated by her high school Dream Team advisor, Kendra attended both Aims Community College and the University of Northern Colorado as a first generation student. After an internship at Youth and Family Connections, Kendra discovered a passion for helping others that eventually brought her back to the Greeley Dream Team as an academic advisor.

Derek Pedersen, Class of 1995 Meet Greeley West High School Class of 1995 graduate Derek Pedersen. Derek graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering, and currently works as a structural engineer for JVA, Inc. Derek’s passion for engineering was sparked as a student at Meeker Elementary School. He has returned to Greeley-Evans School District 6 multiple times to work on school projects such as the Meeker Elementary renovation and the current Greeley West High School Bond project. As the structural engineer for the Greeley West Bond Project, Derek works closely with the architect to ensure the life safety of the building is met by designing the columns, beams, walls, roof framing, floor framing, and foundation.
"I recall building toothpick bridges and load testing those even at that age…as well as doing architectural drafting of a building associated with one of the stories we read.”
