Social Studies

At District 6, we are making a conscious effort to build on the knowledge of what it means to think historically. We understand that the approaches to instruction in social studies is transforming into a skills based discussion. We also continue to understand how critically important it is to develop contextual understanding of time periods. You will find that work in the social studies content closely match the rigor and high expectations of the COLORADO ACADEMIC STANDARDS, which were approved and adopted by our district’s Board of Education.
