Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a discretionary grant program from the U.S. Department of Education designed to increase the number of low-income students prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education in Weld Count District 6.
The GEAR UP grant will help build a college-going culture within our schools by supporting college visits, career exploration, and academic planning. This 7-year partnership provides additional mentoring, advising, and tutor support to the graduating class of 2021 and 2020 who attended Greeley Central, Greeley West, Northridge, and Jefferson High School through their first year of college.
