            Dear Parents,

Prairie Heights Middle School is committed to ensuring a safe learning environment for all students and staff.  We continuously monitor and evaluate our school's safety protocols, and we are making a change to the front office procedures so that we may further ensure our students' and staff's safety. Beginning Monday, November 13th, community members and parent visitors will have access to the front atrium to speak with Mrs. Martinez through the front window. Visitors will share their ID so that Mrs. Martinez may enter it into our district's visitor sign in system. Visitors picking up students will wait in the office. Visitors meeting with a staff member will wait in the main office after Mrs. Martinez confirms the appointment. Mrs. Martinez will also schedule appointments for visitors who do not have an appointment, and they will remain in the atrium until the next steps are decided. We appreciate your support and thank you in advance for helping us further secure the safety of our students and staff.
