7th Grade Counselor
Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Jennifer Fisher
My name is Jen Fisher and I am the new 6th grade counselor. Last school year, I was the 8th grade counselor. We are starting to roll with our grades; so, I will be the professional school counselor for class of 2026 while students are here at Heath Middle School.
A little bit about me is I love my growing family. My son was born in April 2018 and he has doubled in size. I also have two fur babies. Mocha is a black lab mixed with a German Shepard, and Bowser is a bull mastiff. My fiancé and I enjoy hiking, running, and playing volleyball.
I grew up in Michigan and my favorite childhood memories tend to involve the beautiful Great Lakes. After graduating high school in 2006, I moved to Colorado with some of my family. I started at Aims Community College. When I earned my associate degree, I transferred to Colorado State University for my bachelor’s degree in sociology. I had an amazing opportunity to work with teenage boys in a group home where they taught me a lot. Through some life experiences and reflection, I earned my master’s degree in school counseling at Capella University online. This will be my third year as a school counselor. I love being a school counselor because my learning never stops!
As you can see, I took many steps to become a school counselor. I enjoy working with families, students, teachers, and other important stakeholders for students to not only dream, but accomplish their academic, personal, and vocational goals. Let's chat about taking the first step towards your goal! :)
