  • D6 Athlete of the Week - Andrew Alirez

    Congratulations to our D6 Athlete of the Week Andrew Alirez from Greeley Central High School! Alirez is the nation’s No. 1-rated prep wrestler at 152 pounds, and has won four consecutive CHSAA State Championships. His overall high school record against Colorado opponents is 149-0. He will continue his wrestling career at the University of Northern Colorado, and has plans to make the 2020 USA Olympic Team.

  • Naming of the Ann K. Heiman Gym

    A team of educators with connections to Bill Osentoski is working to honor him by naming the gym at Ann K. Heiman in a way that reflects his impact on our entire community. A screening committee is currently accepting submissions for a proposed name for the gym.

    The Colorado Department of Education visited and filmed Centennial Elementary School to learn more about the dramatic academic turnaround in the school and our District. By focusing on the success of all of our students, the state of Colorado has seen 8 out of 11 District 6 schools move off of the state’s accountability clock.   • 2019 CoTESCOL Spring Conference

    Greeley-Evans Weld County School District 6 is partnering with CoTESOL to co-host its 2019 spring conference at Greeley Central High School on Saturday April 6th. The conference theme will be “Engaging, Empowering, and Inspiring Our Diverse Communities.” The conference seeks to provide opportunities for networking and professional development to English language educators in Greeley and northeastern Colorado.

  • D6 Athlete of the Week - Lauryn Crittenden

    Congratulations to our D6 Athlete of the Week Lauryn Crittenden! The Senior from Frontier Academy is a goalkeeper for the Wolverine Soccer team, and has a total of 120 saves so far. She has been named MaxPreps' Player of the Game three times, and has received an All-State Honorable Mention from CHSAA.

  • D6 Athlete of the Week - Emanuel Muñoz-Alcala

    Congratulations to our D6 Athlete of the Week Emanuel Muñoz-Alcala from University High School! Emanuel’s nomination is well-deserved. The Junior wrestled his way to a State Title for the 285 Weight Division. He won his title match 5-0 with a reversal and near fall all in the 3rd period.
