District 6 receives highest wellness award from Aetna

Greeley-Evans School District 6 has received the highest level of recognition, the Leading the Way Platinum award, from the Aetna Workplace Well-being Award program.

As an employer with a strong commitment to improving the health of its employees, District 6 provides a comprehensive well-being strategy. This award is the culmination of employees’ desire to live healthier, more active lives and make well-being a priority.

The District 6 workplace well-being program focuses on creating and maintaining an active lifestyle, mental health awareness and treatment, group and individual exercise programs, incentives for gym memberships, no-cost to the employee primary care visits and even virtual cooking classes.

“District 6 is committed to providing wellness support and opportunities for all employees, and it is part of our strategic plan,” Superintendent Dr. Deirdre Pilch said. “Our employees work very hard and have a tremendous responsibility to serve the children of this community. Committing to keeping themselves well physically and mentally is essential to our mission.”
