Office Manager wins D6 Classified Employee of the Year
Mandi Hurley, who works as the Office Manager at Dos Rios Elementary School, was named the Classified Employee of the Year by the Greeley-Evans District 6 Classified Council. Hurley was honored Monday night at the Board of Education meeting.
Hurley has worked more than 13 years in District 6, serving the last four as the office manager at Dos Rios. Previously, she worked as a paraprofessional at Monfort Elementary School.
“To know Mandi is to know she is a force in action at all times,” the nomination letter read. “Mandi never panics, she is steadfast, sincere, efficient and humble in all that she does. She wears many hats and she has a bond with the individuals she works with, she has a gentle and reassuring smile that lets you know everything will be alright.”
Sasha Cohoon, president of the Classified Council and office manager at Greeley West, and Jessica Piacenza, vice president of Classified Council and athletics secretary at Greeley West, presented the award to Hurley Monday night. Cohoon said the council received 129 nominations for 111 employees from 33 different sites.
“This was the biggest number of nominations we have had in quite some time,” Cohoon said.
A Greeley native, Hurley is also active in the FAA chapter at Greeley West High School, where he sons attend.
“Mandi Hurley is ‘District 6’ and so deserving of this recognition of Outstanding Classified Employee of the Year,” the nomination letter stated.
Hurley will receive a cash prize and a plaque for the honor.
